Breaches of The Terms
Without prejudice to our other rights under The Terms, if you breach The Terms in any way we may take such action as we deem appropriate to deal with the breach, including suspending your access to the website, prohibiting you from accessing the website, blocking computers using your IP address from accessing the website, contacting your internet service provider to request that they block your access to the website and/or bringing court proceedings against you.
Variation and Assignment

Friends Of Lapford Mill – An Open-To-All Community
Friends Of Lapford Mill is an Unincorporated Association whose aim is to restore and operate the Mill on a voluntary basis as an amenity at the centre of Lapford life and as a resource for information and education on the rivers Yeo and Dalch in relation to their history in milling industries and to contribute to improving understanding of local ecology and river management and to operate as a delightful attraction to the area such that a number of social groups are able to benefit through involvement with the project.
Terms and conditions.
The provisions set out below are to be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions (The Terms) above and together with The Terms constitute your agreement with us when on site at Lapford Mill.
Further to The Terms, Friends of Lapford Mill is governed by us under the following provisions;
You accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be made at the time to us or to any third party concerned. We expect all visitors, guests or volunteers to have consideration for other people.
We reserve the right to terminate the visit without notice. We cannot accept liability for any damage or injury to persons or property whilst on a programme with us.
We make every effort to fully risk assess your visit however we make representations or warranties in respect of personal safety or personal property.
The mill, leat and surrounding land constitute a hazardous environment including but not limited to steep narrow stairs, trip hazards, exposed machinery, unconstrained water courses and other dangers. Visitors are required to adhere to instructions given by the guide and to observe the safety precautions. In all events you must take full responsibility for your own safety. We will not be liable for loss, damage or personal injury under any circumstances.
We are not able to accommodate participants, volunteers or guests under the age of 18 years unless a guardian accepting full responsibility accompanies them at all times. Parents/Guardians leaving their children unattended do so at their own risk.
We reserve the right to cancel any visit at any time for any purpose.
Vehicles including but not limited to cars, motor bikes, bicycles, vans, campers, mini-buses may be parked as directed at the site with prior permission only. We reserve the right to remove any vehicle not notified and agreed to be on site for a specified date. All vehicles on site are parked at the drivers’ risk and we are not liable to any loss or damage to vehicles on site. You are warned that the site is liable to occasional flooding.
Guests shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and condition at the end of the visit as they find them on their arrival. Any damage will be chargeable to the visitor and payment shall be made in full prior to departure.
Health and safety.
Please notify us of any health problems of any members of your party. We can not accept responsibility for any death, injury, drowning, loss or damage that occurs during your visit. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to supervise their children at all times.
